We were referred to Sit Means Sit after adopting our Belgian Malinois, Gretta, from a shelter. She was very fearful and reactive—growling, snapping in public, and aggressive toward people entering our home.

About 10 months into their year-long program, the transformation has been incredible. They didn’t just train our dog—they gave us the tools and confidence to help her become calm, balanced, and well-adjusted.

Because of this, we’re able to truly enjoy life with her. We’ve taken a 10-day RV road trip, gone hiking in Utah, visited dog beaches, and even taken her out to restaurants. She’s become an amazing companion we can bring almost everywhere.

We’re so grateful—this wouldn’t have been possible without Sit Means Sit.

Sit Means Sit is amazing!

The trainers really take the time to get to know you and your dog and personalize a training program that works for both of you.

I am so glad I found this place and got our dog trained here!

They continue to offer great training and are always available for assistance when you need it.

I highly recommend this place and look forward to continuing with group training in the future.

Caring for my grand-dog, Mando, has been both a challenge and a blessing. After the loss of my son (his dad), Mando went through a difficult period—he became very protective of me and reactive toward unfamiliar people. Wanting to help him feel safe and happy again, I reached out to Sit Means Sit for guidance.

From our very first consultation, they reassured me that Mando could improve, and they truly delivered. After a few individual sessions and ongoing group classes since November 2025, the transformation has been remarkable. Mando is back to being the sweet, loving, and friendly dog he has always been!

The trainers have been incredibly patient, kind, and understanding throughout the entire process. Mando now genuinely enjoys attending classes, which says so much about the positive environment they’ve created. I am deeply grateful we found this program—it has made a meaningful difference for both of us!

Amazing trainers and worth the price! I brought my dog here because of her aggression and reactivity. I used to not be able to take her anywhere without the fear of her getting loose or attacking. Her behavior improved so much within the first couple of sessions and she’s continuing to make progress. I can confidently take her out now and she is now comfortable being around other people and dogs.

Around 6 months ago we were referred to Sit means Sit by our Glendora vet for training. A then rambunctious 8 month old not knowing her manners. What an amazing job all the trainers have done during these past six months. The trainers are all super knowledgeable and really care about each individual dog and their needs. Our pup is a completely different dog with her training. We have been able to use those training techniques in helping us use the same at home. She now listens and has manners. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit for dog training. Thank you to Issac and all the Trainers!

Sit Means Sit is absolutely the best dog training company there is. Other dog training methods don’t even come close. I know I’ve tried them all.

I trained my super high energy American Pit Bull Terrier with the Sit Means Sit system and I don’t even need a leash any more. I get compliments daily on how awesome and incredibly well behaved my dog is. Now I can take my dog with me almost everywhere I go. I know I couldn’t have done it without Sit Means Sit!

Sit Means sit helped Suki go from being a good dog to a GREAT dog! We used to have issues with keeping her attention while outside, but now she’s a off-leash girl. The weekly group classes and pack walks are very helpful for continuing her training around dogs who are at different stages in their training.

My 23 month old Bulldog was beginning to be reactive when she was a puppy. She also was difficult to control on a leash. The clicker training i did with all of my previous dogs, was not effective. I enrolled her for training at Sit Means Sit. Now, she’s awesome on and off a leash. And she recently became certified as a therapy dog. Life is so nice with a well-mannered dog. I couldn’t have done any of this without SMS!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Sit Means Sit – San Gabriel Valley. We have a 7-month old, 2.75 pound Yorkie named Mimi. Trent Stephenson has done such an amazing job with her! His expertise, professionalism, and skills are only matched by his patience and obvious love for dogs. We enrolled Mimi in Trent’s 7-day board-and-train program and she learned SO much in that short week! She is a now a happy and very well behaved puppy. Highly recommended!

Before we came across Sit Means Sit, we consulted with multiple trainers and did two different trainings. One of the trainings was treat incentivized and the second used aggressive redirection which included hard pulling on the leash and even kicking them in the stomach. I saw an ad for Sit Means Sit and decided to do the free consult. Zeus was highly reactive out of fear. Going on walks was difficult and taking him somewhere other than the park was impossible. I have the scars on my body to prove it! Blake did the consult with us and was so warm and welcoming and didn’t shame Zeus or me for our difficulties. He gave us hope. I saw a great improvement even one session in. After a few months, Zeus was able to do the group trainings without a muzzle. Now, a year later, we’re at the Sit Means Sit appreciation event and Zeus came in second in the distraction game and 5th in the silent commands game, without a muzzle! Sit Means Sit has given me and Zeus the confidence, hope, and acceptance we needed. I am definitely renewing and I already recommend this training to anyone and everyone. Thank you Sit Means Sit!
